Notoa is a macOS menu bar app designed to help you quickly capture notes, images, and thoughts. Your privacy is a core principle of Notoa’s design.

Notoa does not collect, track, transmit, or sell your personal data.

2. Data Collection

Notoa does not collect any personal information.

Specifically, Notoa does not:

• Collect analytics
• Track usage behavior
• Use advertising identifiers
• Access contacts, calendars, or location
• Transmit data to external servers

All notes, images, and tasks you create remain entirely on your Mac.

3. Data Storage

• All content created in Notoa is stored locally on your device
• Data is saved using standard macOS storage mechanisms
• Notoa does not upload or sync your data to the cloud

If you delete the app, all locally stored data is removed.

4. Microphone & Speech Recognition

If you choose to use dictation:

• Notoa requests access to the microphone and macOS speech recognition services
• Speech processing is handled by Apple’s system services
• Notoa does not record, store, or transmit audio data

Microphone access is optional and can be revoked at any time in macOS System Settings.

5. Third-Party Services

Notoa does not integrate with third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

Any system-level services used (such as speech recognition) are provided and governed by Apple’s privacy policies.

6. Data Security

Because your data never leaves your device, Notoa minimizes exposure to external risks. Security depends on your macOS system protections and user account security.

7. Children’s Privacy

Notoa does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the app listing or accompanying documentation.
